Christmas Is Coming!!

We are ready for Christmas! The tree is up and the house is decorated. We all just love this time of year! We also have started a new tradition. Anita bought us the Elf on the Shelf. The kids named our elf, Fala- after FDR's dog, which they learned about on our NY trip. Fala is a troublemaker though so in the morning the kids get such a kick out of seeing what Fala gets into during the night.

We went to NY for Thanksgiving and had a great time. We had a fun time visiting family and the kids came home overloaded with early Christmas presents. We also went to FDR's house, Hyde Park, which was really interesting!

I have to say, this year our Fall is the  most beautiful we have had. Even though it was a bit chilly, we went to the park and I took some cute pics of the kids in the foliage.

A Visit With Cousins

Mommy's cousin, Ian with his wife Melissa and kids Liam, Calvin, and Annie stopped on there way to Florida. It was a great visit! Troy and Rosalie just loved playing with their cousins. We went to Yankee Candle, Merchant Square and walked around Colonial Williamsburg a little. I don't think the kids cared what we did, they just had so much fun together.

Grandma and Peepa's visit

11/3/2011

Grandma and Peepa came to visit. We all had so much fun! Troy loves to help Peepa around the house doing odd jobs that involve tools and their tradition of going grocery shopping for a months supply of snacks. They also made the coolest stuffed animal "cage" for the kids. I saw it online and fell in love with it so Peepa made them for the grandchildren.
