A lot of people have asked for pictures of our new home. I finally took some.
Every night in Wichita, they light fires around the Keeper Of The Plains statue for 15 minutes. It was so neat and we definitely will be going back. We love living this close to a big city, yet away to get the suburb feeling.
I love having Wichita a ten minute drive away. It's such a clean city. Today, we went to the Sedgwick County Historical Museum. It was so interesting. Afterwards we came across a great shopping center that Rosalie and I can't wait to check out a day. Playing Around On The Old School Type Writer"The Keeper Of The Plains" in WichitaWe have been here just over a week now and love it! The people are so nice and we love our rental house. We are almost fully unpacked. We cannot believe all there is to do around here. We were not sure what to expect of Kansas, but we love it. Here the kids were reenacting a scene from the movie. Our New Home- we love it!The Goode family came over for one last goodbye today. They have been such great friends. We became friends when Troy and Marie were just babies and Peter was a toddler. Look how our families have grown. We are going to take this picture when we do get together so you can see how the kids grow. I know we will stay close with them. Rosalie Wanted To Try On My Varsity Jacket From High SchoolWe Can't Blame The Rain For The CurlsTroy started collecting these Civil War cards from various national parks.Troy and Rosalie are spending the night at Aunt Kellie's. Missing her will be one of the hardest parts of moving. Today they went swimming at her friends, out for Chinese, and to the racetrack, where Brian works on Wednesday evenings and Saturdays. Tomorrow they are going with her for the carnival at Kellie's work.
We had a great 4th of July with Kellie and Brian. We went to a party at Fort Monroe and watched their fireworks. With the incoming storm they sped them up to beat it, but they were still great and finished right before the downpour. Aunt Kellie With The Photo Bomb |
