Salt Mines in Hutchinson

5/31/2016

Today, a friend watched Cici since you have to be at least 4 years old to go in the salt mines. This has been my favorite thing that we have done in Kansas. Ir's about 40 minutes from our house. We toured the mines that are 650 feet underground. Hollywood stores it's movies there, along with memorabilia. Since there is no moisture, there are several historical sources there as well. It was neat!

After starting in August, it is the kid's last day of school. They both were sad that it is coming to an end. It is great for a parent to see that after the big changes that this year brought.

Rosalie's Field Trip

5/17/2016

Due to the rain, Rosalie field trip yesterday was rescheduled for today. It was still rainy, but it was a neat field trip. The kids went to Tanganyika. It is a cool zoo about a mile from our house.  It is different than the zoo because you can get close to several of the animals, even pet some. It was chilly outside, but a fun field trip.
