Today we decided to just make a day trip for our "stay-cation." We went to George Washington's birthplace, which is only an hour and a half from us. The kids were so excited, it was really cute. We had a great time!
The kids got National Park Passports that get filled out at National Parks they visit. They are so excited to visit the local ones we have and add to their books.
Today we spent the day in Williamsburg. It was so nice to get out of the house and since it was so beautiful, we spent awhile at the Kidsburg playground. We also did some shopping and went out to dinner.

We had such a wonderful and relaxing Christmas. This is the first time we haven't travelled on Christmas. We divided up presents so the kids opened Santa and Mommy and Daddy gifts in the morning, some family gifts after lunch, and the rest of the family gifts after dinner. It was such a wonderful day. The kids love all of their gifts and had fun playing all day long. We are all looking forward to relaxing and more playing tomorrow.

We had such a great Christmas Eve. It's tradition that we let the kids open one gift from Daddy. Normally we wait until the evening, but we had such a busy day that we let them after lunch. They loved their gifts. We had dinner with our good friends, The Goodes, and then headed off to Mass, where Troy was Joseph in the Nativity play. When we got home, the kids left cookies for Santa and reindeer food in the lawn and went right to bed. They were so excited, as are we. I don't know how I'm going to sleep tonight, I just can't wait to see all the joy in the morning!
Christmas Eve tradition is that they get to open one present from Daddy.
I love their expressions!!
