All in one week the kids had 2 lessons on nature. We had a toad in our yard, then yesterday Troy got to have a close look at a snail. He was fascinated.
Rosalie has officially earned the "termite" nickname. I thought she was just looking out the window for awhile. She actually was chewing on the corner of the wall and left two holes! We had to rearrange the whole living room to block window sills so she couldn't chew on them. Troy's Transformer SuitI posted this in the crafts section, but he still barely has taken it off. This is us reading books right before bedtime and he asked to wear it to bed. We compromised that he could wear it up to his room and leave it by his bed.
Today, we got out the slip & slide. Troy LOVES to slip and slide. I love this weather! Daddy's Home!!Today was Rosalie's first experience with a toad. She was so interested in it. It was really cute. Troy had been napping for awhile when we found it. I tried to wake him, but he was more interested in continuing his nap.
Today was hot out so we filled up the pool the Easter Bunny gave the kids. I have a feeling they will be spending a lot of time in it this year.
We had a fun-filled day for Easter. In the morning the kids searched for their baskets. Rosalie found hers on her princess chair and Troy found his in his "apartment" in his room. The Easter Bunny also left them a new kids pool. After church, we went with Brian, Guada, and the kids to the beach. The kids played and we did an Easter Egg hunt. Afterwards, we had an excellent ham dinner with Eric, Kathy, and Matt. It was such a fun and busy day! Afterwards, we let Troy pick where we went to dinner, which of course put us at Taco Bell. We ended the day out with a walk along the Yorktown Beach. It was beautiful weather and so much fun! He had so much fun, but took it so seriously. He wouldn't leave the table as the eggs sat in the dye, but the end result was great.
