Troy should be starting soccer sometime this week (which he is so excited for) and we have started Fall crafts a little early. With our new schedule, Rosalie gets a lot more "Mommy Time" while Troy is at school. She says about five new words a day and she brings me books to read for about a half hour straight every day. I love watching both of the kids grow smarter by the day. Troy also LOVES school. We have also began reading activities in the evening before his bedtime. He is doing great with his word recognition and sounding out his letters. Only Rosalie is small enough that Mr. Potato Head parts fit on her.In his new soccer shin guardsThe Fall wreath that I made.Today, I overheard the kids playing and peaked to observe. I saw Troy standing on the couch pretending to be an announcer as he yells to the girls.... "Babies and Gentlemen" I thought it was so cute that I just had to share.

Rosalie love's the more attention she is getting. Rosalie and Rose Playing Potato HeadAll Smiles Coming Home His Second DayWhat do you think? Good Advertisement for the cereal she was eating?Today was Troy's first day of Pre-K. He is in the afternoon session so the wait was killing him. He was ready before 10am, asking if it was time and his class didn't start until 1:30. He was just so excited. When we got there, this petrified look spread across his face. He was good though. He gave me a hug goodbye and went with his class. When I picked him up, he loved it and told me all about his day. Best of all, he can't wait to go back tomorrow. He had to show off his book bag.The 1st Day of School cupcakes I made Troy. They are supposed to be apples, but resemble lungs a bit more. (E for Effort right?) I stole the idea of decorating a cake to celebrate the first day of school from my sister, only she is much more talented in her cake decorating.

Today is the last day of summer. Daddy and Troy both start school tomorrow. To enjoy a last few moments of summer, last night we had a bon fire and today we went to Williamsburg. Perfect FireRoasting MarshmallowsConsoling Daddy About Going Back To WorkI thought I would start adding the hilarious things that come out of the kid's mouths to brighten your day, as they do ours. Tonight, I was reading Troy a book about Cavemen. During the book, he had many questions. After they were answered (good thing I taught History!) we continued reading. Then Troy got very serious. He looks as me and says "What did they do without plungers?" I hope this made you laugh as much as it made us.
